Samsung has application that makes phone switching to a Samsung device a breeze! It doesn’t matter if you’re switching from an iPhone or another Android device. Smart switch has you covered.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime can make full use of this application, although, if you have a ton of photos, you may have to transfer the photos in segments and then move them to an SD card. The app makes that easy as well by allowing you to pick and choose which content you would like to move from your old device.
Here’s how it works for iPhone switching. You must be connected to a network (Wi-Fi preferred.) Open the Samsung Smart Switch app on your Grand Prime. Press “Switch from iCloud.” It will take you to your iCloud login screen. Login, and begin the transfer. Its that easy!
When switching from Android, you’ll want to download the application on both devices (free from the Google Play store.) On the device you’re switching from, open the app and select which content you’d like to transfer. You can transfer your contacts, messages, alarms, applications, and much more.
After you’ve decided what you want to transfer, open the app on the Grand Prime and press begin transfer on the old device. You don’t have to be connected to any network to transfer content between an Android and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. The connection is actually made through WiFi direct between the two phones.
With this app, there is no reason you should lose any photos, music, apps or contacts. You can even keep all of your text messages.
