Does anyone else have the problem if you have the headset plugged and a calls come in and it tells you to PRESS THE HANDSET TO ANSWER OR HOLD THE HANDSET TO IGNORE and when you do nothing happens the call is lost, and the phone rings when the headset is plugged in wt.
Yes, my Instinct does this. I'm perplexed. There's a message that comes up on the screen to press the Headset Button to answer the phone. What the hell is the Headset Button? There's nothing in the manual! STUPID!
Ehhhh...I wouldn't call the PHONE stupid.... The "headset button" is, um, the button...on the headset. It's silver. It's connected to the oval plastic piece on the wire. Oh, and it's a button. A button on the headset. Hence, "headset button."
I wasn't referring to the PHONE OR MYSELF as being stupid, if that's your implication. What's STUPID is that there is nothing about this I can find in the Instinct owner's manual. Further, even Sprint TECHNICAL SUPPORT could not tell me what the headset button was located when I first asked. I actually figuered it out while on the phone with tech support, but didn't dare press the button for fear of dropping the call.
The other issue with having the headset on the phone is when there is an incoming call, the display does not I.D. the incoming caller (no phone number or name).
I'm now awaiting a second specialist from Tech Support to call me about this.
I have the same exact problem. Something I have learned to do is when I recieve a call while having my music player going & I have my headset plugged in as well I just take the headset out & answer the phone with the button above the camera button. It's just a shame you cannot see who is calling you. I have tried answering my phone by pressing the "headset button" and it still does not answer. This has been the only solution I've found other than, well, missing the call.=/
