Email Question after update from pro-user

I was told from Seven that this next update would allow for a self signed certificate to be accepted. As of now my Emails that had previously worked are no longer working well (I.E. emails showing up hours/days late) and the account that now SHOULD work gives me the error <Unable to connect to sprint email service>. Anyone having similar issues or have any advice?
