Re: richardking28, When you login to your OWA though a web br...

Try this. Remove Desktop Connector from your PC. You don't need it if you have OWA. OnInstinct, removeall your work email accounts. In main Instinctemail settings, remove temporary files and reset application. Start from scratch and set up Work email answering YES to OWA. As an aside, you might get more people willing to help if you tried to tone down your posts a little, be a little more polite, and remember that we're just fellow users, not Sprint employees.

Re: richardking28, When you login to your OWA though a web br...

I apologize if my tone is one of frustration, Totally not to be taken out on fellow users, but on the opposite end, This phone has issue after issue, and its kind of irritating to go through all of this, and to call tech support and no one seems to know what to do.

I also, naturally am a very direct person, so when I respond via email or posts, it is to the point majority of the time, and I think that email has not real tone, but I will definately try to "friendly" it up a bit.

To respond to your suggestion. I have tried those options but will gladly try them again .

Just so that I am clear, and without giving too much information. This is the address that I generally enter to get to my OWA

http://owa.dnamail.com

or

https://owa.exchangecarrier.net/owa/

From there my email acount is the user@domain.com < of course thats not the real address.

and password.

I have tried

domain/user@domain.com

domain / user@domain.com

domain \ user@domain.com

domain\user@domain.com

user@domain.com

domain\user

domain \ user

domain/user

domain / user

Let me know if there are any other possible options

domain\userlooks like the right one to me. Keep in mind that the domainnamemay not be what you think it is. Are you sure the domainname is the same asthe XXX in XXX.com? Did you try not entering a domain at all? Just "user" by itself? When you log in thru the web, you are getting a certificate error? or does this happen when you log in thru your phone as well?

Just tried the user by itself, no luck.

No certificate error on the web, but on the phone yes

depending on which address I use

If I use the owa.dnamail.com address, yes I get this:

Certificate

The SSL security certificate installed on your email server appears valid, but could not be verified (S7128)

Accept this certificate and continue? (Yes or No)

I select Yes

and then I get

Unable to establish a connection to your Outlook Web Access account using the username, password and server address you entered. Please use a PC web browser to log in to your account, then enter the same account settings on your phone to complete setup (S7127)

If I try from the

owa.exchangecarrier.net/owa

or owa.exchangecarrier.net address

I dont get the certificate error

but this

Unable to establish a connection to your Outlook Web Access account using the username, password and server address you entered. Please use a PC web browser to log in to your account, then enter the same account settings on your phone to complete setup (S7118)

But again if I use either of these on the web, no certificate error and all I have to use is

user@mydomain.com

and the password and I am in.

I'd expect user or domain\user to be the right choices. Also, be sure that you were getting past the certificate step for each of these tests. There have been a flurry of network problems over the last few days where sometimes you don't even get a connection. It is a different error number, but it is frustrating to test when more than one thing is going wrong. I had exactly this problem when I first got the phone and it started working months later. The only thing I know changed was my password. When it didn't work I had a '-' in the password and later it was all alphanumeric. But something else might have changed that I don't know about.

Re: richardking28, When you login to your OWA though a web br...

Mark your other post helped me figure out why the connector was pulling in my other email account. The former exchange account is now a pop account for me, this is why I was getting the other emails. This email account is on my PC, which I keep open all the time, but I run two instances of Outlook, one for my pop accounts and one for my exchange. I am going to set up the exchange acct on my laptop and run the connector with a different account on there, so that way it seperates the information entirely. So I will be able to use the connector on both computers, at least until I can resolve the OWA issue. I dont want to have to keep both computers running all the time, so hopefully I can get the OWA running. Now heres the question, can you have more than one work account? I will try and see.

Lets see if all of this works as a workaround.

I thought since at least outlook2003 the same instance could have both exchange and pop/imap accounts.

Whoops. Didn't finish. When I try to use that on my computer, I also get a security certificate failure, which means that your company's SSL certificate may be out of wack somehow.

Yeah, but I work for a non-profit (pop acct) as their designer as well as design with my own company(exchange hosted mail). I am slightly accused of having OCD so I like to keep things as organized as possible. and found ExtraOutlook.exe from Makeuseof.com so that I could run two different profiles at a time, I kind of like it better that way.

I really want to just be able to use the OWA feature on my phone so that I dont have to add the exchange server acct to my laptop. That way me having two outlooks have no bearing on my phone and its information.

Like I said the post MarkBugs put on here was helpful cuz now I have an account with the pop on my phone for the non-profit with their calendar, but I would like to get my standard Exchange acct on my phone as well. thats the OWA.dnamail.com one.

richardking28, What I mean to say is that I tried one of your accounts on my computer with https:// and got a warning that the security certificate is invalid. This leads me to believe that it might be an SSL problem, not an Instinct problem...
