The instinct can only load applications from the internal 32 mgb hard drive. We haven't even gotten apps yet, and I'm already down to 22 megabytes. This is really going to cut into the amount of apps you can store on your phone isn't it?
I have 6 games, 3 apps and 2 ebooks with 23mb left. I don't know how big the new apps are going to be, but from what I loaded on the Instinct so far, games and apps are just a few hundred kb. I guess there's limitation to everything, but it will take a lot of apps to fill the rest of my 23mb.
What are you using to read your ebooks?
I use the Tequila Cat ebook reader/converter. It converts ebooks to a Java app, comes out as a jar/jad file that I can upload.
Oh yeah I forgot about my dictionary, which makes it 4 apps.
One reason could be the speed of transferring data. I had a WM phone before that could do that, but ended up storing most of my apps in the built in memory because it would lag or freeze the program I'm trying to run.
