The 1st time i go to voicemai lafter turning the phone on, I get this message: "Voicemail failed to provision. Please contact sprint customer solutions." Then it goes away and i can get to voicemail no problem. Any ideas?

I finally called Sprint, and after trying several things, the one that worked was "reprogramming" the phone.
There was a ## code involved, but i don't want to post it in case i got it wrong. The gal on the phone implied she was doing something on the server too, so I am not sure if entering the code is enough. Also, my msid# is different than it used to be. I am not sure when it changed, but it was before doing this (probably happened during one of the other things they tried).
So if you call in to fix this, you can suggest this solution 1st to see if it solves it.
