I love all of the features of the intercept BUT

I hat the performance. So much though I almost traded it in for a full price phone but since my area does not have 4G (Columbia, S.C. state capital, go figure) I couldnt see paying for a higher end phone. So here is what I learned:

  1. Slow down my expectations (yes it might take 1-2 min to get online)
  2. Do a PRL and Profile update once a week.
  3. Shut down the phone every 2 weeks.
  4. Kill or delete ALL apps over 1 Mb.
  5. Use task killer to keep running apps to a minimum.

Phone is not too bad after following those above items.

Does anyone else have any good tips?

As far as phone performance goes, this is not a bad list of items to optimize your performance. I would suggest power cycling (shutting down the phone) more often than every two weeks. I personally power cycle my phone every day or two, but that’s a personal preference. Another option would be to ensure that all your Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS are turned off when they are not in use.
