Airave is nearly useless when used in conjunction with Moment

I also wonder if the airplane mode issue also isn't somehow related to  the Moment's "flakiness" when used in conjunction with an Airave.  I  have had 4 different Moment's, all of which will enter roaming mode,  miss calls, and drop calls within range of my Airave, sometimes even  when the Airave is as close as 3 feet away. None of the other Sprint  phones in my house have this issue.

At present, my phone has 2 bars, shows a -98dbm (LOUSY) signal rating, and is sitting less than 3 feet from my Airave. It is right next to my girlfriend's LG Lotus which is reporting a -63dbm rating.

What is wrong with the radio/hardware on this phone???  This is sooo frustrating.
