Import contacts from Microsoft Outlook

apparently it is possible to import MS Outlook "Contacts" to a Sprint MOMENT phone.  Is there a "how to" description?

Re: Import contacts from Microsoft Outlook

You can export your outlook contacts and then import that into Gmail (which is what android uses for your contacts).

Step-by-step instructions can be found here:

Re: Import contacts from Microsoft Outlook

I use CompanionLink (http://www.companionlink.com/androidusb/index.html) and find it very useful.  It costs $30+, but since the Moment does not include a way to do this directly, and I need contacts for business purposes, I tried it and it works well.

Why Sprint/Samsung/Android doesn't include this capability is beyond me.  The only reason, and a weak one at that, I can come up with is that the Android OS wants you to do everything with Google.  However, I have other email accounts and Outlook that I need for business purposes.  I do not feel safe placing all my personal and business info into the Google cloud.
