Samsung J3, The Thneed which everyone needs

Like the Oncler, in the Dr. Seusse’ book The Lorax, I thought all phones were “figuring on biggering and biggering and biggering”. You can imagine my surprise when I opened the box of my new Samsung J3 Emerge to see a new phone that was much smaller than my previous Galaxy Note.

Picking up my new Samsung J3 brought back memories of a simpler “Lorax” time, when “the grass was still green and the pond was still wet and the clouds were still clean”.

The simple joys of calling a friend with one hand, being able to pull the phone out of my pocket without having to first stand up, or simply having the speaker and the microphone line up properly; the simple conveniences that fell victim to biggering.

Biggering, isn’t always “bettering” and can have negative impacts that are only recognized in hindsight. This Samsung J3 demonstrates that bigger isn’t necessarily better. The Samsung J3 has the functionality that I need, the performance I want, in a size that I prefer.

Don’t get me wrong, the larger screens are great for videos and games; however, with a 5.0 HD (1280 x 720) monitor and a Snapdragon 425 processor I am still able to experience the bright colored tufts of the truffula trees and the Brown Bar-ba-loots frisking about in their Bar-ba-loot suits.
