I Got Pie on My Samsung and It's Totally Different!!
Why is that? I paid good money for this phone and I have been Sprint customer since the 90s. This does not make since to me. AT&T I believe does offer this to Unlocked devices.
The simple answer is it is not a carrier branded device with carrier branded software. Unlocked devices will be VoLTE capable in the future, just not now as well as other devices.

On a related note, I performed a system update to Android Pie on 04/29/19 and since then my apps don't update properly. I have performed the ##72786# system reset as well as the partition cache wipe. I have been attempting to get a 4.9MB app update to download and have been waiting for, as I write this, approximately 18 minutes with no progress whatsoever. Any additional advice?
over the mobile network or using wifi?
the Google play store itself might not be updated on your phone to be compatible with Pie..so it might be waiting for some kind of kick start to get it through then the app updates can get their thing on..'
mainly making a guess on my side.
I see nothing here about adding a wake screen feature to notifications however my screen now wakes with every text message and I can't figure out how to turn it off. Ideas?
if its only with texts did you check text settings for pop up/wake up screen options?
I don't have those options
what options do you have in settings then through the messaging app?
and are you using the stock messaging app or a different one?
I use the stock messaging app that came with my phone . Please see my screenshots. I've checked through EVERY setting and can't find any option to turn it off.
might have to contact Samsung directly to figure out how to shut it off then. if its only with texts then its gotta be something in the texting app itself..or the texting app is in need of an update as well if they made changes.
Thank you. I appreciate you trying to help!
no worries...so far you are the only person to bring this up on the site here that i have found..however it doesnt mean you are the only one possibly running into this..many people jump right over to the Samsung site when they run into issues that are more device related..so there is a chance you will find someone with a like issue after this update over there.
