I have read in various places that most ringtone files are 30 seconds long, but many posts say that a Sprint phone will not actually ring for more than 21-23 seconds before going to voicemail (23 is maximum according to many posts, but other posts say 21, but that discrepancy possibly due to yet another post explaining that it may take up to 2 seconds for a phone to be located on the network and the call connected).
So, the question simply is, is there a point to having a 30-second ringtone, or is 23 seconds more or less ideal?
The idea with a 23 second ring tone is that unanswered calls don't go over 30 seconds and use minutes. I wish there was an option to make them longer due to the fact many people need more time depending on noise, purses and other reasons.
