This week, companies across the country are honoring the outstanding work that customer service representatives provide to customers every day as part of National Customer Service Week (October 3-9). Sprint is stressing its goal of providing superior customer experiences through the launch of a new video showcasing Sprint customer care agents.
Because Sprint customer service agents are often the first, and sometimes the only, employees customers interact with, Sprint has launched a new video designed to help put a face on its customer service. The video introduces viewers to three of Sprint’s customer care agents as they share their stories about customer service, talk about what customer service means to them, and discuss their favorite things about working at Sprint.
Bob Johnson, Chief Service and Technology Officer, Sprint
“We recognize the importance of providing great customer experiences and thanks to the dedication and commitment of Sprint care agents, customers have recognized us for the improvements we’ve made in customer service.”
“Our agents work hard to provide a superior experience and we appreciate the work they do to take care of our customers.”
Maurice, Customer Care Agent (Video)
“A good customer care representative listens and understands the actual root issue of why customers are calling and resolve that issue on the first call.”
Susan, Customer Care Agent (Video)
“It feels good when they (customers) express to us that we’ve gone above and beyond their expectations.”
Examples of Enhancements that have Improved Customer Service:
At Sprint’s Customer Service call centers, customers who have recently purchased a new phone talk with agents specially trained to help with set-up issues. Customer Service agents also focus on anticipating customers’ needs, to avoid the customer having to call back with another question. Finally, a Sprint smartphone customer who calls for technical support is automatically routed to a tech who is an expert in working with the customer’s particular operating system.
Sprint.com enhancements which include an improved shopping experience that makes it easier for customers to pick the right phone, scan, compare and change service plans in the online store, as well as the ability for customer to receive personalized messages, offers and account notifications about billing, devices, usage and network coverage in the areas they live.
Ready Now allows Sprint retail associates to work one-on-one with customers to personalize their phone, set up all of its features and demonstrate how it works - before they leave the store. Whether it’s showing someone how to send an e-mail, download a photo, text, or use a live search to find an address, with Ready Now Sprint retail associates teach customers what their phone will do from the first day they own it.
Sprint Plan Optimizer gives consumer customers the power to analyze their own wireless usage trends and help make educated and informed decisions about their plans. Pricing plans such as Simply Everything®, Everything Data and Any Mobile, AnytimeSM that provide value and simplicity for customers. Customers have no need to get out a calculator to tally up prices for each feature or guess how much data they’ll use in a month.
Recognition from Customers through Third Party Surveys:
We wanted to let you know about a decision we have made to end the Sprint Premier program.
The program will be phased out gradually. Depending on whether you are eligible now for certain program benefits or would become eligible soon, you still will have time to take advantage of them. We'll provide additional details about that below.
First, though, we wanted to share more about why we are taking this step.
We value the business of all of our customers, and especially appreciate those who have been loyal subscribers for many years. The Premier program was one way we attempted to demonstrate that we appreciated that loyalty.
This was a difficult decision, but we needed to take some actions now so that Sprint can continue offering other things our customers have told us that they appreciate most. These include:
Simple and unlimited pricing plans without throttling or overages;
Cutting-edge selection of 4G, Android and other devices at affordable prices;
Network upgrades and strong customer service
Melinda Parks, Director of Marketing, Sprint
“In order to continue offering customers one of the best values of affordable unlimited data plans in the industry today, cutting-edge devices at great prices and our ongoing investment in providing great customer service, we had to make the difficult decision that it’s necessary to bring the Sprint Premier Program to a close at this time.”
Sprint still offers many benefits that set us apart from our competitors. We also will continue looking for ways to allow our customers to enjoy certain benefits, such as being able to buy or trial some future devices first and take advantage of promotional accessory offers. We hope that our loyal customers will recognize the value and advantages we offer when making their decisions about where to take their business.
Thank you for giving us the chance to share this information.
Here are some details about the changes:
Sprint’s Premier Loyalty program is being phased out and customers will no longer be enrolled into the program or move between gold and silver tier status.
Premier customers will still have time to enjoy their benefits:
Premier Gold customers - who aren’t already eligible under the “New For You” program – have until the end of 2012 to take advantage of their last annual upgrade.
All Premier customers will be able to redeem or take advantage of all of their current benefits including accessory discounts, Just Because Perks, Premier Community and complimentary plan check-ups through Dec. 31, 2011.
Sprint will continue to notify customers who reach their Service Anniversary date through December. Customers enjoying December anniversaries will have until Jan. 15, 2012 to redeem their gift.
Customers always have the ability to make educated and informed decisions about their wireless plans and determine if another plan could benefit them using the Sprint Plan Optimizer, at www.sprint.com/planfit.
Today, Sprint launched a website for artists to submit their work to be featured in the prow of the Sprint store located in the Flatiron Building. The Flatiron Prow Art Space features artists from New York and around the country, and exhibits will rotate every 12-14 weeks.
Artists, students and art teams are invited to submit proposals for unique, temporary artwork to display in the Flatiron Prow Art Space. The Flatiron Prow Art Space will house artwork that is as unique and engaging as the building itself, with an emphasis on pieces that reflect the company's commitment to eco-friendly living, technology and interaction.
“Our first exhibit has generated a lot of positive attention from customers and the community,” said Karen Paletta, Sprint regional vice president. “As a corporate leader in environmental responsibility, we are excited to showcase the talents of these artists in the prow of our Sprint retail store and it is going to be wonderful to see the art that is created reflecting eco-friendly living and technology.”
Miles Neidinger – First Featured Artist
Kansas City native Miles Neidinger was the first featured artist. His piece titled “Everything We See is Never Enough” is created entirely of reclaimed and repurposed materials, including twist ties, neon drinking straws, red jumbo drinking straws and yarn that branch out to resemble organic foliage.
