About the Sprint Developer Conference:
Key elements of the Open Developer Conference include hands-on coding sessions, breakout sessions, event sponsor exhibits, town hall meetings, keynote presentations from industry leaders and networking opportunities for developers. The conference will include 4G and M2M demonstration areas.

Mobile applications are the fastest growing wireless segment in the industry. According to a report by consulting firm Chetan Sharma Consulting, mobile application downloads across all handsets worldwide are expected to grow from 7 billion in 2009 to almost 50 billion in 2012 - a year-over-year growth rate of 92 percent.
