Sorry for the inconvenience. I checked our Network Outage tool and there are 2 tickets opened for cell site and data issues. Per Network Outage tool Voice issue will be resolved today.Just ETR 09/16 and Data issue ticket ETR is 10/15.Our engineers are working on to get the issue resolved ASAP.Service de-gradation may have happened due to the hurricane and tornado.I'll update you when ticket get updated.

Abe, here I am again. Still having the same issue? I have been with Sprint for 6 years and I have never had as many problems as I am and have had this week. Normally I have 3 to 5 bars (signal-wise) on my phone sitting right here in my house. But this week, all i have been getting is no signal, error Code 2048, Cause Code 0, and another error code 3000. I tried everything that you told me. I turn my phone off, take out the battery, update the profile and it works for a short time, but then the error code start popping up again. I'm in zip code 28540. I drove in to zip code 28546 and had no real problems, exccept I had to do these steps a few times. This week is the only week out of 6 years that I have had this problem. We had a hurricane and tornado about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and mmy service worked better then than it does now. I can barely make phone calls, because I either have no service or the calls are lost/dropped before they ever start ringing. Please help!!!!
I checked your zip code and couldn’t able to find any Network Outage Ticket for that zip code. It may be a temporary capacity issue specific to the local tower and let me know if outage continues for more than 24 hrs.
For the time being, what you said has worked. Could there also possibly be a network issue going on in my area? I also get a Cause Code 0 saying that there are network problems.
It may be network capacity issue on the Sprint Network. If your phone doesn’t get Sprintsignal and cannot find roaming signal, device may give you 2048 error.Poweroff, take the battery out for 2 mins and put back the battery back in and update profile(menu-settings-system updates/about phone-update profile). try sending text.let me know.
Does anybody have any idea what the error code 2048 means?
I have tried sending text messages but this error message pops up. Every now and then error code 2048 pops up saying network busy. Could something be wrong with the network or what? I have a Sanyo Zio.
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
