Any news on the Samsung ATIV S Neo WP 8.1 Update

Is there any update on this? I saw multiple posting saying that an update was going to come out sometime this summer, but it hasn't materialized. I have seen that there has been a timeframe announced for the 8XT. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and carry 3 lines on my plan. Maybe I am just bad at picking phones, but it seems every phone that I have bought in the past 5 years fails to get updates. These devices were Android flagship devices for Sprint when they came out. I am not saying it is a Sprint issue, but as an account holder I am more of a customer to you than the device manufacturer. Obviously iOS & Android are your bread and butter, but the fact remains you have sold plenty of WP devices and they are not getting upgrades and we are not getting answers when we can expect upgrades. There would be an uproar if iPhone users couldn't get the latest and greatest update to iOS as soon as it was made available to the public. For Android & WP devices the manufacturers(who just want to sell more devices) have no desire to upgrade the software on the devices if they can charge for new hardware. This is where you need to speak for your customers who are paying to use that device on your network. There needs to be transparency into these types of things. Had I known that I would still be waiting this long for an official WP 8.1 update, I would have moved carriers when my contract was up.

I am in a similar situation.  I have been a Sprint customer for over 15 years now and when it comes to the Windows Phone support, I have never seen anything worse.

For the first time, I am ready to jump ship.

I am a developer, when my customers come to me expecting answers, I have to give them answers, even if it isn't what they want to hear.  Flat out ignoring or deflecting would get me in a lot of trouble with my management chain.

We are your customers, whether we bought iPhone, Android, Blackberry, or Windows Phone....

The other carriers are on board with Windows Phone, so your best bet is to leave.

Great, today is Sept 30th and I still don't see the Windows 8.1 update for my Samsung Ativ Neo.

So help me understand why Sprint treats windows phone customers like second, hell third-hand citizens to Android and iPhone.

Help me understand why I should continue to pay for two lines when I can't even the support needed for my phone.

None of the Samsung brand Windows Phones have been updated.... None of them! Samsung still insists they know nothing about the update.

Thaldin,

We don't want you to feel that way. Any available software update would come from Samsung. Please let us know what support you are needing for your phone.

Thanks for the info on Samsung Windows phones. It's good to know who's selling Windows users short. I will avoid them in the future.

I guess that's the reason why there haven't been any new WP's from Sammy as well.

They released the Ativ SE earlier this year which was exclusive to Verizon
