Re: Found: Official Sprint Website Confirms Mogul GPS!

<div>I think it lists them as gps capable because you can buy an external kit from a website ( i think telenav) for ~ $100 and get the gps capabilities on the phone. I know thats the case for 755p which was also listed in the screenshot. I am 99% sure thats the case with Mogul too.</div>

Re: Found: Official Sprint Website Confirms Mogul GPS!

Sprint likes to send Spam to my Mogul every couple of days.<br><br>Just recently I got a Text Message from them telling me that GPS Navigation is included with my Plan and that I should "upgrade" to a GPS enabled phone. Guess that means that the Mogul doesn't have GPS Navigation.<br><br>So, let's get over it and find something else to *bleep* about.

It just means the devices are able to be located by gps.</div><div></div><div>This is from Verizon but it explains what "GPS capable" means:</div><div></div><div><div class="clear5"></div>Verizon Wireless' Phase 2 E911 location technology is built into the phone's handset; GPS-capable phones rely on signals from the Federal Government's Global Positioning System satellites to help estimate their location when you make a 911 call. Verizon Wireless' handset-based location technology provides the most accurate capability over varied terrain, and is generally capable of estimating locations within 50 to 150 meters in most cases.</div><br><br>Message Edited by Whoops on <span class="date_text">11-09-2007</span> <span class="time_text">09:04 PM</span>

If they have failed to even fix Bluetooth do you think they can activate GPS?

<div>I was just switched to the new ensemble billing system and was perusing the new web interface. I went into the section of learning more about the Mogul, just to see what it said. Lo and behold there is a section titled "What is GPS and is my phone capable?" so I click it. That web page clearly states that the Mogul IS in fact GPS capable.</div><div>Here is the text and URL of the site: (If you search from the Sprint home page and enter the text "sp10550" you will get this information.</div><div>Ciege...</div><div>P.S. More than two dozen GPS satellites orbit the Earth transmitting radio signals, which allow GPS enabled devices such as phones to determine their location. The location may be expressed in longitude and latitude or it may be shown on a map. Location services can help you get directions or locate someone else who has a GPS enabled phone.
