Apparrently this update is not yet available. I'm currently showing B08 on my Optik and it says I am up-to-date on my Andriod version and there are no firmware updates either. I contacted Sprint customer service and the suggestion was to factory reset which I eventually did based on the idea there was some problem to getting B09 that a factory reset might help acheive. Factory reset did not work, so we're still waiting for the B09 release. Silly thing about the whole matter, this was to get the SimCity app to starting downloading the content needed to run the pre-installed game. Any/all help/info would be appriciated dshoem01. Thanks.
I called Sprint and they said the update is coming out in waves. They told me to google it and see if I could download it, but no luck. They also said it could take a couple days or a couple months.
Guess all I can do is wait, but I just want to play Sim City. lol
My apologies, I think they moved the rollout date after I posted this. I'm hearing that it should be reaching all devices today (5/4)...not sure what time it's expected.
I've gotten the B10 update as well now. Same issue with SimCity download not working. It goes from wide to tall screen (periodically) and eventually says progress is saved and no download progress has occurred. I was hoping the Google fixes may attach my Sprint account to Google Play so I don't have to use a credit card (or am I missing some steps in setting this up?). Bluetooth issue was very minimal for me before (used it once) though I do recall the persistent notifications (though I didn't verify the fix). Not too clear about the x-wap (3g???). Never had an issue with the tab connecting to the PC (other than the PC doesn't see it like a normal drive in terms if I right click and choose properties, but I can get past that).
It guess I have to look at the big picture (though it's bothering SimCity was included and doesn't work) and see that for $99.00 (w/2 year) that the tab works well overall. It's good that Sprint has put forth effort on an update for a tab that sells so cheap.
No luck yet with Sim City? I'll see if there's any report of this in our internal systems.
No report of the Sim City issue persisting after the update. I'm inquiring into whether anyone on the device support team has had similar reports from customers. Will update this post with anything new.
