Now I just need the iPhone to put in it. Screen protector should be arriving tomorow as well. I went with the Body Glove snap on case for the iPhone 4. got a great deal on it from Amazon
Very mean!! But I'm happy for you! I just got my case as well, as of yesterday...but it's sad seeing an empty case with no phone to go in it yet. I got a good deal on an Otterbox. I spoke to a representative from the company and they said the 4 cases will fit the 4S if I already had one. So I went to ebay and purchased one for a cheaper than the regular price. It still wasn't as cheap as the cases you get from Chinese companies, but you're getting a quality case. 😃
BTW, just as an FYI, the iPhone 4 cases will only fit Verizon models (and I assume Sprint since they're CDMA, the same as Verizon). The GSM model (ATT) will be slightly different and won't fit their iPhone 4 cases.
Sorry guys, couldn't resist the chance to play a little.
The reason I choose the Body Glove case is because I have been using their cases on my last 3 phones. They have proven to be very durable and I like the looks of them. I did look at Otter Boxes but A. they are expensive, and B, no belt clip provisions. I always wear my phone on my belt. I also already have nub mounts in my Truck and my Jeep for the nub on the back of the Body Glove cases, so I know it will work for the new iPhone case as well.
As for fitment, everything I have read says the Verizon iPhone 4 cases will fit the 4S as they are pretty much identical on the outside. Also later cases designed to fit both the ATT and Verizon iPhone 4s should fit as well. This one is Verizon 4 specific.
My screen protector should arrive today as well. Plan is to take the iPhone out of the box, slap the protector and the case on it first thing
Here are some pics, I do like the little kickstand built into the clip too.
I also noticed they are now making fitted cases for the iPad2. gonna have to order one of those up for my iPad pretty soon
You are correct about the ATT and Verizon phones. Basically there is a slight difference in placement of buttons between the earlier iPhones w/ ATT and the iPhone 4S. When Verizon released their iPhone 4 in January, ATT's iPhone changed design as well. So GeneralLee3 is correct when he says that if you have either a later model of the ATT iPhone 4 case or just a Verizon case, you can use that.
As for the body glove, that does come in handy. But as a girl, I don't usually wear my phone on my belt. And while it wouldn't work for me, as it looks too bulky for my purse, it really solves the problem of the iPhone not being equipped with a kickstand! That is one thing I'm going to miss about my Evo. I found it quite handy when watching videos!! (As for the Otterbox, if you get them from ebay or any other 3rd party retailer, you can save more than half! That's what I did!)
Now GeneralLee, please do not post again until you actually get your iPhone!!
I had a bodyglove case for my last two phones and they are good cases, my only issue is that I use the beltclip on the strap of my handbag and it isn't very secure, it pops off constantly. I'm trying this one
http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Holster-Kickstand-AIP4HOC-Packaging/dp/B004VN09LM and if it's no good it's not a big deal it's cheap enough to not grieve over if I have to find another one that I like better.
I think im going after the Otterbox case
I want something durable
if anyone knows of something better please share
I'm going with a Otterbox Defender Series case. I heard those things are like tanks (and considering the fact that I'm a major klutz that could be very handy). I ordered mine off of Amazon...it's suppose to fit the Verizon White iPhone 4, which I read is suppose to be the same as the iPhone 4S...so we'll see...fingers crossed.
