Ok so i was going to preorder the iphone to day when i found out some information about the insurance, tec suport and other related information.

So first if you are paying that $8.00 a month for your insurance, that will nolonger cover you for the iphone. So first lets talk about what you get for your money from Sprint.

Now you are alowed 3 replacement phones a year and after that you go to the mutipal device department and can get another phone that is comprable to your current device. Not a bad deal.

NOW for what coverage you will get for your IPHONE for $99

Briefly what you get is limited tec suport (90 days) after that you pay per inicedent. If your phone is tost and a new on has to be ordered or you have to send it in for repair it takes 30 to 60 days to get it back wile you are with out a phone you will still be charged for service.There are NO loner phones while yours is being repaired and After two replacements phones they cancle your coverage! OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT THAT IF YOUR PHONE IS LOST OR STOLEN, YOU GET NOTHING AND HAVE TO BUY A NEW PHONE A FULL PRICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad deal for us and a good deal for them. Needless to say i wont be getting an IPHONE untill it is covered by sprints TEP

When Coverage Begins and Ends.

Coverage begins when you purchase the Plan and ends twenty-four (24) months from the date of retail

purchase of your original iPhone (“Coverage Period”). Your Plan Confirmation will be provided to you

upon purchase or sent to you automatically thereafter. The terms of this Plan, the original sales receipt

for your Plan and the Plan Confirmation are each part of your service contract. To obtain a copy of your

Plan Confirmation, follow the instructions and enter your iPhone's serial number at The price of the Plan is contained in the original sales receipt.

The hardware service, accidental damage from handling coverage and technical support coverage

provided by the Plan is additional to the coverage provided by the manufacturer’s hardware warranty

and complimentary technical support.

3. What is Covered?

3.1 Hardware Service

If during the Coverage Period, you submit a valid claim by notifying Apple that a defect in materials

and workmanship has arisen in the Covered Equipment or, (ii) the capacity of the Covered Equipment’s

battery to hold an electrical charge has depleted fifty (50%) percent or more from its original

specifications, Apple will either (a) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished parts that are

equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) exchange the Covered Equipment with a

replacement product that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability, and is at least

functionally equivalent to the original product. If Apple exchanges the Covered Equipment, the original

product becomes Apple’s property and the replacement product is your property, with coverage for the

remaining period of the Plan.

3.2 Accidental Damage from Handling

If during the Coverage Period you submit a valid claim notifying Apple that the Covered Equipment has

failed due to accidental damage from handling (“ADH”), Apple will subject to the service fee described

below either repair the defect using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in

performance and reliability, or (ii) exchange the Covered Equipment with a replacement product that is

new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability, and is at least functionally equivalent to the

original product (both individually known as a “Service Event”).ADH coverage will expire and all

Apple’s obligations to you under this section 3.2 will be fulfilled in its entirety before the end of the

Coverage Period when Apple, as a result of ADH claims, has provided to you two (2) Service Events.

ADH coverage does not include (a) protection against normal wear and tear, theft, misplacement,

reckless, abusive, willful or intentional conduct associated with handling and use of the Covered

Equipment, (b) protection against any other act or result not covered by the Plan, as described in Section

4.2 below, or (c) any resultant damage to the Covered Equipment that arises from one or more

conditions described in Section 3.2(a) or (b). You will pay a $49 (U.S.) dollar service fee for each ADH

claim, and may be asked to provide an explanation of where and when the accident occurred with a

detailed description of the actual event. Failure to pay the service fee or provide information relating to

the accident when asked will result in claim denial.

3.3 Technical Support

During the Coverage Period, Apple will provide you with access to telephone and web-based technical

support resources. Technical support may include assistance with installation, launch, configuration,

troubleshooting, and recovery (except for data recovery), including storing, retrieving, and managing

files; interpreting system error messages; and determining when hardware service is required or ADH

coverage may be applicable. Apple will provide support for the then-current version of the supported

software, and the prior Major Release. For purposes of this section, "Major Release" means a significant

version of software that is commercially released by Apple in a release number format such as "1.0" or

"2.0" and which is not in beta or pre-release form. The scope of technical support provided to you will

vary according to your Plan.

3.4 Scope of Technical Support

Under the Plan, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered Equipment, operating system

(“iOS”) and software applications that are pre-installed with the Covered Equipment (both referred to as

"Consumer Software") and connectivity issues between the Covered Equipment and a “Supported

Computer”, meaning a computer that meets the Covered Equipment’s connectivity specifications and

runs an operating system that is supported by the Covered Equipment.


TEP will never cover the iphone and if they do it will cost alot more

Worth Ave group insurance is much better. over two years it comes out to 7 bucks a month and the decuct is half of TEP, 50 bucks compared to 100 for TEP. plus you get to take your phone to the Apple Store and not those dumb tech at Sprint. They never do anything for my phones

and worth ave covers theft, accidents, etc. They have been in business since 1971 and i have used them for a bunch of products and always recieve great customer service.


Service and Repair locations will support AppleCare+ in store, but in a limited capacity. Depending on the issue, some things will be covered through our normal phone replacement ordering system which usually takes 2-3 days for replacements. Some issues would be covered immediately with a phone the store has in stock to exchange with, like in the instance the phone is unusable. The Apple Stores also would cover the phone since it is the Apple coverage that is available, nothing specific to Sprint.

Sprint stores are not allowed to repair the iPhone devices like our other phones, everything works through exchanging, no repairs.
